Fundraising

Why The need?

A common misconception is that the school pays for everything in HS sports. That is not the case. Hockey is unique due to the high price of ice time. The school covers ice time, in-town game buses, head coach & JV head coach. Player contributions help cover assistant coaches, jerseys/socks/gloves/breezers, bags, overnight travel + meals, away game food, streaming, and other team expenses that support our players' experience.

Our goal is to give families more choice and control over their hockey costs while continuing to provide a great experience for the team.

Fulfilling the player contribution

Previous Years

Salt (or Salt buyout) was required plus “Player Dues” after making the team in order to fund the Boosters for the season.

This Year

We're giving families more flexibility. Instead of a required salt fundraising amount, you'll have the opportunity to choose how and how much you'd like to participate in fundraising to offset the $1500 player contribution. Whether you want to offset a portion of your player contribution or work toward covering the full amount, you'll have 3 fundraising options available to you.

Fundraising Options

Use any or all of these options to help offset or fulfill your player contribution total of $1,500:

1) Salt Sale

How it works:

  1. Use the ORDER FORM (download below) to track your salt sales.
  2. By 8:00pm August 23, turn in your completed TRACKING FORM (download below) and the $ from all of your sales to 3850 Bayside Rd in the specially marked Salt Sales Mailbox.
  3. On September 19th & 20th, pick up the salt from the school parking lot and deliver it to your customers.
  • Earn $5 toward player contribution for every bag of salt sold.
  • E.g. Sell 300 bags and earn a full $1,500 credit toward player contribution.
  • If your son is not rostered after tryouts and they elect to play Junior Gold, your salt profit of $5/bag will be sent to Junior Gold to contribute to signup fees.

Whether your goal is to reduce a portion of your player contribution or cover them entirely, every sale helps.

3) Media Guide Ads
